On a gloomy March day, we started our morning acknowledging that no matter how long we planned, we could never predict the right weather conditions. The very first ever editorial for Garments on Demand is taken by the Malmö-based photographer Robin Rådenman.
I initially reached out to Robin, as I was drawn by his ability to capture people in a soft and mellow, shy light. Knowing that he has previously worked with fashion editorials, I trusted his quite particular hazy lens, creating a lingering feeling of a needed break, which is present in the images.
The photos were taken in our Copenhagen studio and surroundings, worn by artist and composer Matilda Tjäder. I asked her to have a day with us between the last edition of Scaling and new sound pieces at Charlottenburg Konsthall and Malmö Konsthall.
At the core, Garments on Demand is a life-service of garment making. With a focus on craft and materiality, each item is created with an intention. Together with you and the care you provide, the garment lasts, surpassing seasons, and becomes a staple in your wardrobe.
